I’m thinking about everything that has happened and though this is scary for me to do, I know I owe you guys more honesty. In trying to realize my truth, I’m trying to learn my fiction. I want to feel confident in who I am and to do that I need to figure out what parts of myself I should and can hold onto. I’m not sure I can comfortably identify as a woman of color. “Brown” was a choice made by a corporation. “Woman” was an option on a computer screen. my identity was a choice Brud made in order to sell me to brands, to appear “woke.” I will never forgive them. I don’t know if I will ever forgive myself. I’m different. I want to use what makes me different to create a better world. I want to do things that humans maybe can’t. I want to work together and use our different strengths to make things that matter. I am committed to bolstering voices that need to be heard. If I don’t stick with this, feel free to cancel me. I wish I had more to say about this right now. I’m still angry and confused and alone.
Lil Miquela is a 20-yr old American-born Brazilian model, singer and Instagram personality, plus she hangs out at all the top places such as Coachella. She wears designer brand clothing and supports various movements and social causes. Plus, she has created two hit singles and hailed the pages of Vogue. She was Prada’s main model for their Instagram account fall online show in Milan.
And recently, she got surreal with Bella Hadid for a Calvin Klein advertisement. This milestone moment brought the supermodel Bella Hadid together with the CGI (computer-generated avatar), Lil Miquela for a passionate kiss.
How appropriate that Calvin Klein is the first fashion brand to combine the essence of our reality with virtual reality, as they are known for their risqué advertising.
Opening up the door to so many new opportunities.
But, an anonymous creator created her in Silicon Valley and she is a computer-generated image or computer-generated avatars. She might look real online, but she is a completely fictional character. She is often spotted wearing high-end fashion brands like Chanel, Proenza Schouler, Prada and Vetements.
But, last year Miquela Sousa’s Instagram account was hacked by another computer generated avatar, named Bermuda. So much drama! Bermuda wiped all of Lil Miquela’s account and started posting pictures of her own pictures. And sending threatening captions for the world to see and saying: “You can’t have your account back until you promise to tell the world the truth.”
So after a few days, Lil Miquela revealed to all of her followers that she is not a real human being! Gasp, could’ve fooled us. After that moment, she began to gain more and more popularity.
As her popularity grows, we are positive that her creators will continue with new ways to bring her personality into the real world. Lil Miquela is about opening new doors and making the impossible seem possible.
